Can Work Pull You Closer Together?

Q: Can work pull you closer together?

A: Yes! Suprisingly, being a dual-income couple does your marriage good, says relationship expert Angela Watrous. Here's why:

  1. Teamwork. You're both brining home pay checks and contributing to your future together, which strengthens your tie.
  2. Better bonding. Whether it's brainstorming about a project you're in charge of or venting about your bosses, sharing the ins and outs of each other's office life - and knowing that each of you "gets it" - builds an added level of connection.
  3. Appreciation. Your busy lives increase the need to "schedule in" together time. That may sound unromantic, but it makes you more likely to savor those special moments.
