The Institute was originally founded by Dr. Greg Smalley as the Smalley Marriage Institute a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry. The original team previously worked at the Smalley Relationship Center where, led by Dr. Robert S. Paul, they developed the Christian Marriage Counseling programs we call Intensives. Today the Intensive program is the cornerstone of all products and services offered at The Institute.
